The following work presents
the results of a recently concluded historical investigation that sheds new
light on the genesis of the aerologic studies in Cuba and its development
during the first half of the XX century (see the first part in the previous
issue of the Bulletin of Sometcuba). The present paper continues to analyze
he initial development of aerology in Cuba starting from 1944, when the so
called “method of radiosondes” was introduced, as well as the insertion of
that event in the Second World War historical context.
