ABSTRACT.

Given the importance that for the study of the dispersion of pollutants has the wind, characterized by its components, direction and speed, a climatic study of this variable was carried out, represented by general aspects of its climatology like the rose of the winds, the annual and daily march and the tendency of the series of occurrence of frequencies in the period of study that embraces hourly observations from the year 1964 up to 1995, for ranges and for different form of organizing the information. There were studied also some characteristic not so classic as the permanency and the oscillations for contiguous observations. Although predominant winds are from the first quadrant for this station it was observed a change of the predominant direction of the East Northeast to the East, an increase of the number of cases of winds between 16 and 20 km/h and decrease of the cases of calms.
