One of the most dangerous meteorological phenomena in Cuba for humans, are tornadoes that occur in eventual form in any month of the year. Since 1970 seven tornadoes have occurred classified as F3 and F4 in Fujita-Pearson scale. The most intense tornadoes that in the last thirty years occurred in Cuba are analyzed in this paper and also two cases study are presented to find synoptic and mesoescale patterns that help to improve future forecasting. Characteristics of mesoescale and synoptic processes related to the occurrence of intense tornadoes in Cuba are studied. And two different tornadogenesis types were established.
