ABSTRACT.
The present work accomplishes an analysis, being supported in the use a Geographical Information System, on the influence that exercise the sulphur and nitrogen compounds in the incidence of the Bronchial Asthma (BA) and the Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI), in the zone of the bank this of the bay of The Havana. Potentially the H2S is the element that greater deterioration of the quality of the air produces, being the only one of the studied pollutants that surpasses the admissible maximum concentrations in daily samples. Concerning the studied diseases is observed in their marches annual a decreased of your incidence from the year 1996 until the present time. The application of the model of pollutants dispersion reflects that the greater concentrations of SO2 coincide specially with the greater values of prevalence of asthma.
