Objetivos

  • Las reseñas tendrán como objetivo la explicación general sobre ciencia, tema o actividad científica de interés para la comunidad meteorológica.
  • Los artículos tendrán como objetivo la publicación de avances científicos y sus aplicaciones en el campo de la meteorología y otros campos afines.
  • Las contribuciones breves abarcarán la publicación de informaciones de interés, críticas a los trabajos publicados y réplicas de los autores.

Objectives

  • Reviews will contain general explanations on science topics or scientific activities relevant to the meteorological community.
  • Papers will be dedicated to the publication of scientific advancements and it's applications in meteorology and related fields.
  • Short contributions will deal with topics of interest, critics to published papers and replies from the authors.

Aspectos editoriales

Los trabajos deben ser escritos en editor de texto MS-Word 6.0 o versión posterior, usando página tamaño A4 y tipo de letra Times New Roman 12 ptos. Márgenes superior e inferior: 2.5 cm, derecho e izquierdo: 3 cm. Espaciado doble.

Las tablas y figuras deben estar incorporadas dentro del texto en el lugar que les corresponde según el criterio del autor. Las figuras deben tener buena calidad. Si se quiere incorporar una secuencia de imágenes animadas, estas deben enviarse en formato GIF juntas en un solo archivo o separadas, indicando el orden en los nombres.

Extensión: 

  • Reseñas: 30 páginas de texto principal y tres de referencias.
  • Artículos: 20 páginas de texto principal y dos de referencias.
  • Contribuciones breves: 3 páginas en total.

Editorial requirements

Papers should be written on the Microsoft Word text processor (release 6,0 or later) using page size A4 and Times New Roman 12 font. Margins size should be 2.5 cm for the upper and lower and 3 cm for right and left. Line spacing should be double.

Tables and figures should be embedded in the documents, figures should be of good quality. If it is desired to include an animated sequence of images, pictures should be sent in GIF format, all into one file or separated, indicating the order in the name of the file.

The extension of publications should be of no more than 30 pages of main text and three of references for reviews, no more than 20 pages of main text (including graphics) and two of references for papers and no more than three pages for short contributions.

Estructura

Tanto las reseñas como los artículos deben tener la siguiente estructura:
     
  • Título
  • Autor(es)
  • Procedencia
  • Palabras claves
  • Resumen
  • Introducción
  • Secciones intermedias (a criterio del autor)
  • Conclusiones
  • Referencias: Ordenadas alfabéticamente según el apellido del primer autor, si es el mismo, cronológicamente y con el siguiente formato:
      •  
    • Si es artículo: Autor(es), año de publicación, título del artículo, nombre de la publicación, volumen, número y paginas.
    • Si es libro: Autor(es), año de publicación, título del libro, editorial, lugar de publicación, cantidad total de páginas.
Las Contribuciones breves tienen estructura libre.

Arrangement

Reviews and papers should be arranged by the following pattern:
     
  • Title.
  • Authors.
  • Institution at which the work was developed.
  • Key words.
  • Abstract.
  • Introduction.
  • Intermediate sections ( according to the author's criterion).
  • Conclusions.
  • References: In alphabetical, order according to the author's Christian name. For the same author, different references should be listed chronologically and according to the following format:
      •  
    • For papers: Author(s), year of publication, title of paper, name of the publication, volume, number and pages.
    • For books: Author(s), year of publication, title of the book, editorial, place of publication and number of pages.
Short contributions can have a free structure.

Idioma

Se aceptarán trabajos en idioma Español e Inglés. En caso de presentarse el trabajo en idioma Español, deben incluirse una traducción del título, el resumen y las palabras claves en idioma Inglés.

Language

Publications will be accepted both in English and Spanish. Spanish publications should include an English version of the title, abstract and keywords.

Recepción de los trabajos

Los trabajos pueden ser enviados:
     
  • Directamente al Comité Editorial en disco magnético de 31/2 pulgadas.
  • Por correo electrónico al Comité Editorial (e-mail: lulu@met.inf.cu). 
En caso de ser ficheros compactados deben estar en formato .ZIP

Reception of publications

Works may be sent:
     
  • Directly to the editorial committee on 3 1/2" floppy disk.
  • By e-mail to the editorial committee at lulu@met.inf.cu
If any sort of file compression is used it should be the ZIP format.
